I had to contact customer service for a billing issue and also asked the guy about if the Hero was coming to sprint and he said YES!!! Got this for my wife and notices that at times the backlight will not turn off and have to soft reset anytime this happens to resolve it. Called HTC and they had no idea of this issue, just google it its all over, and escalated to devs. Appears to be some conflict/corruption in the registry and wondering if any found a fix for this bug or do I have to wait for the Rhodium to be out for Sprint? hi all i have a attt tilt with my own custom rom based in the original htc kaiser spanish rom and the radio 1.71.09 o what ever how it is... i never used this device as phone until one month ago (i change my phone and operator), well when i was using the device as pocket pc never show a problem, but when i install the sim from my new operator Claro Chile, the problem starts, the device some times stuck, its sticky, almost all time it related to the phone part, i mean phone contacts, gprs-edge-3g-h, phone dialer, write text messages (its painfull keyboard eat 50% of the letters)... i can say that happen 95% with the phone things... any ideas? maybe my brand new sim its not working fine? i set the network to manual, picked ClaroCHL (here are 3 ones, Claro, Movistar, Entel) and even disable otherones that appear in the chip like Claro Brazil, Claro Argentina (i suppose that are for roaming).... I haven't really seen much mentioned about it, so maybe I'm more bothered by it than you guys, but the newest Hero leak's rosie is missing the ability to grab the thing at the bottom and quickly flip through all the screens. Seems kinda ironic to start calling it TouchFLO after you take out the part that makes it touch flow! To me, that's one of the things that made it so sweet. With out it, its just another 7 screen home (minus the fact that you get the widgets with it and all). Using 6 swipes to flip through your home is annoying as hell. But that aside, it still is (for the most part) the same speed as the beta version (when ported to the G1, that is), and still has no landscape mode. Taking those in to consideration, you basically have the same thing, but with one less feature. HTC you f'ed up. I am currently running the new hero rom (see sig below) but regardless of what the update states busybox is still not working. I searched for quite some time with no luck so Fu<& it I decided to install busybox myself.
